Paris 2024 Olympic Posters
Inspired by iconic branding of the Munich 1972 Olympics by German designer Otl Aicher, this project is my playful take on recreating some favorite moments from the Paris 2024 Olympics in his signature style. Aicher’s posters are a masterclass in bold simplicity—vivid primary colors, geometric shapes, and clean sans-serif typography all working together in perfect harmony. I had fun channeling that precision and playfulness to reimagine the recent Olympics through this timeless lens.

I ♥️ rosie Album Release Event
I worked on arranging graphics for the spatial design of Rosé from Blackpink's solo album launch party in NYC. Over 10,000 people lined up and attended the event with attendance from Rosé herself.

Chicago Design History Month
During my internship at the Design Museum of Chicago, I spearheaded the Chicago Design History digital social campaign. This project involved creating the branding, developing a social media strategy, and graphic deliverables. The campaign reached over 10,000 impressions, helping to increase awareness and appreciation for Chicago’s rich design history.

The Defining Decade Redesign
After reading The Defining Decade, I was inspired to redesign the cover of this iconic book. The goal was to move away from its outdated cover and create something that better reflects the book's abstract concepts, offering a more subtle and thoughtful representation of its themes of time and success.

Parsons Hong Kong Taiwan Student Association
I created the branding for the inception of the Parsons Hong Kong Taiwan Student Association, designing a visual identity that captures the essence of the group's mission to connect students from both regions in the school community. The goal was to create a dynamic and cohesive look that reflects the cultural richness and collaborative spirit of the association.

I Voted Sticker
Though I'm not American, the "I voted" stickers from the 2024 election season inspired me to create my own. Influenced by vintage Americana ephemera and early 20th-century typography, I was drawn to the simple yet powerful design and wanted to add my own playful twist.

Great Ideas of Humanity:
Students of the Future Exhibitor
For the Design Museum of Chicago’s Great Ideas of Humanity exhibition series, I was selected as an exhibitor for Students for the Future project. This exhibition encouraged rising designers to respond to an impactful quote or idea with a visually compelling design that emphasises the power of design to inspire positive change. Exhibited in DMoC, May 2024.

Celestial Harmony Poster
This poster reimagines an ancient Chinese constellation map by blending traditional aesthetics with contemporary design. Referencing the intricate linework of rice paper calendars, it features detailed vector illustrations and bilingual typography to bridge cultural narratives. This project reflects my dedication to preserving cultural heritage through design, combining authenticity with modern visual storytelling.

Yours in Gratitude
When emails and texts just don’t feel special enough, Yours in Gratitude offers a more thoughtful way to share thanks. Handwritten and hand-coded by me on Thanksgiving 2024, this website invites users to write and send personal gratitude letters online. Each letter is sealed in a virtual envelope and unlocked only by the recipient, blending the intimacy of handwritten notes with the interactivity of the web. It’s my little love letter to meaningful connection in a fast-paced digital world.

Hello World Book Project
Hello World: From Pixels to Progress, The Evolution of Web Design is a 50 page chapter book that I designed through crafting the text and image layout. Using the visual language of the early internet, I created three distinct chapters that followed the progression of the web. My focus was to interpret the overall concept through the interplay of visual form and content.

All I Every Wanted Was Everything
Using elements of typographic hierarchy, colour theory, material composition and printing techniques I translated a personally significant mantra onto a physical design. The mantra I chose not only had an abstract meaning of overachieving, but a physical meaning of aspiring to own everything. Having this saying aptly printed on a shopping bag added to this literal meaning, touching on aspects of consumerism, overconsumption and wasteful practices.

Perriand OOH Campaign
Through showcasing iconic furniture pieces by female designers within a Constructivist, Destijl design system, I created a public facing campaign advertising Perriand Contemporary–a design museum highlighting women designers. The campaign champions inclusivity through design, inviting viewers to explore the rich heritage of women's contributions to Modernist design at Perriand.

In Praise of Shadows Interaction
Using an excerpt from Jun'ichirō Tanizaki’s 1933 book “In Praise of Shadows”, I made a web storytelling experience that allows users to read his work through a series of interactions. Heavily inspired by the concept of dichotomy between light and dark, the interactions not only serves as engaging tools for users to navigate the website, it also highlights the motifs and literary concepts of Tanizaki’s work.

NYT Motion Graphic Headlines
Inspired by this New York Times editorial piece, I created looping typographic motion graphics that function as both dynamic hero images and static visuals for social and print. This exercise explores how time-based design can enhance the clarity and impact of typographic messaging, particularly when communicating current events.
